Rebuilding Deyrolle

The New York Times has an uplifting article on the combined efforts of Parisians to revive the french taxidermy house Deyrolle - which was destroyed in a fire last February.

los angeles
We just returned from an incredible week in Los Angeles and I'm still glowing from all that marvelous sunshine - It was tough to come back to a yard full of leaves to rake! I've spent most of the day editing photos from the trip (more can be found on my flickr site.) We got to see and do almost everything I wanted to - drinks at the Chateau Marmont, La Brea Tar Pits, some farmers markets, Venice Beach, Getty Museum, the Huntington Gardens & Museum, Musso & Frank Grill, Silverlake, the Museum of Jurassic Technology - it seemed easier to accomplish everything with the car, than other cities with more extensive transit systems have been.
The best part was probably getting to see the show THE DRAWING ROOM at Thinkspace Gallery in Silverlake - curated by Audrey Kawasaki. It was so awesome to be included among such immense talent - and so amazing to see how many people came out for opening night.
