After a month of furious scribbling, inking, cutting, gluing and coloring, I finally mailed my completed nightmare-themed sketchbook off to The Art House Coop in Brooklyn where it will be a part of The Sketchbook Project: 2011 Tour. Lots more pictures on my flickr site.

North Brother Island- NYC's Abandoned Island
Photographs by Richard Nickel Jr. of North Brother Island - former site of a quarantine hospital (and home of Typhoid Mary!!) - abandoned since 1963. Currently a protected nesting area and home to a colony of black-crowned night herons.
